Devotion, dance, and deliciousness—Navratri brings all for Amdavadis as they prep up for celebrations beginning today. To add to the festivities, local eateries have rolled out extended timings, creative menus, and wallet-friendly pricing to ensure garba enthusiasts stay energized through the late-night Dandiya rendezvous.
The city is witnessing a shift in late-night cravings away from the usual hubs. While Manek Chowk has long been a post-dance go-to, a broader spectrum of outlets is courting the festive crowd this year. Industry buzz suggests that six in 10 Ahmedabad eateries are launching Navratri menus with pocket-friendly prices, a trend that’s drawing crowds from across the region.
Late-night hotspots such as Shiva’s Coffee Bar, Shambhu’s, Tea Post, Ab Chai Pe Charcha (Vastrapur), Shakti Sandwich, Kaffee Mast Hai, The Live Puff, 8 The Pizza Stone (Paldi and Gota Branch), City Corner (Maninagar), HL College Road Khau Gali, FRIZBee, Urban Chowk Food courts, and more are pulling in garba-goers even from Gandhinagar, offering quality food. Many joints set up stalls at known party plots, while small outlets serving pizza, puff, dabeli, pani puri, momos, dhokla, handvo, khaman, patra, and vada pav cater to society garba events, keeping festive flavours alive round the clock.
Fatboys Pizza, with four stalls in FRIZBee Food Court, Ahmedabad, will be open till early morning during Navratri. “We are offering a diverse range of food options and making it a hotspot with our 800+ seating capacity and 500+ car parking facility. Our menu includes coffee, pizzas, nachos, sandwiches, dosas, Mexican, Italian, French, healthy options, Punjabi starters, and chaas, catering to all age groups with a mix-and-match experience that keeps the festive energy going till dawn,” says Nirav Oza, owner of Fatboys Pizza.
Ganesh Centre, a South Indian joint from Jodhpur Satellite, stands out with an unlimited-menu offer at an attractive price. The perk: 24/7 operation, allowing garba lovers to drop in at any hour to relish dosas, idlis, uttapams, and other favourites.
In Bodakdev, Ramanujan Restaurant is drawing crowds with a special Navratri South Indian menu offering discounts, while continuing operations until 4 am in a grand, air-conditioned sitting environment.
Thaltej hosts Dasaram Bhajiya House, renowned for Kathiyawadi bhajiyas. Open round the clock, this outlet features a wide array of bhajiyas paired with eight chutneys and condiments, delivering earthy flavours and a local touch.
Even the fine-dining sector is joining the celebration. Sante Spa Cuisine near PRL Colony, Thaltej, and SBR has come up with Navratri munching menus balancing health with indulgence. The wellness-focused outlets offer pizzas, bruschetta, healthy crackers, bhel, and jamun pani puris, all priced to stay light on the pocket.
Vastrapur resident Asmita Patel says: “’Garba and dhol embody the spirit of Navratri, and so does the food. After an energetic dandiya session, my friends and I head to roadside cafes or food courts. Manek Chowk and Frizbee are the places where we often go and indulge in a variety of flavours from chai and coffee to dosas, sandwiches, jamun shots, kulfi and more catering to all our cravings.”
